An IoT Ecosystem for the Care of Elderly and Health Care that integrates other Ecosystems

We hear all the time about the latest innovations and technologies that are making our lives easier. But we don’t hear much about how they’re being used in aged care's reality, to make those last few years of our life more enjoyable. It’s a subject that’s prompted plenty of conversation about how technology and innovation could change aged care & health care for the better.

Everything started because of a personal circumstance of being in contact with my parents, who are now more than 80 years old and live in Colombia, in order to help them from this long distance to have better resources to be in contact with the other and have the option for me to get involved their things and activities there. Then I started to research what was happening in Europe and America about elderly care and remote assistance and what is being used to offer solutions to individuals and even more how this can be used as a solutions for massive programs, it meant not only to use it in my particular case but to do with other people; and I found something: that not only will make their lives easier, but I found something that will transform many others elders' lives and it was when I decided to contribute by being part of a project for this to happen here in Australia and maybe be able to use it also in Latin America.
